(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
My family and I have had chickens for 4 years now. We started with 6, we got 6 more, and 3 have passed away since our start.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
We have 9 laying hens
(3) What breeds do you have?
Australorp (1) (my favorite, they are so friendly and talk a lot!), Rhode Island Red (2), Silver Penciled Plymouth Rock (1), Cream Legbar (1), Blue Easter Egger (1), Ameraucana (1), Gold Laced Wyandotte (2)
(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
I've been reading the forums for tips and tricks and finally decided to take the plunge and register, thanks to everyone who posts their ideas and opinions, it helps so much!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
My family also has a couple of hives of honey bees and we love being outdoors and working with the land.
