2 weeks ago! I had chickens as a kid, but these are the first ones I have had as an adult.

Seven chicks
(3) What breeds do you have?
I have 2 Buff Orpingtons, a Lavender Orpington, a Buff Brahma, a Porcelain D'uccle bantam, a Mottled Cochin bantam, and a Plymouth Barred Rock.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Eggs and soft feathers
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Teaching middle school kids
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I have a husband and 1 daughter, a dog, a lazy cat, and these 7 chicks. I teach middle school language arts.
