Hey guys,
I’m incubating coturnix quail for the first time and I’ve read so many threads on here that I figured I might as well join!
(I then discovered that I already had an account but I’d never used it so I count myself as new)
I’ve also got a cavoodle (Moxxy) who is very curious about the incubator and a cat who is no longer allowed in my room due to the tiny chicks she’d probably consider a snack.
I’m a uni student and my mum works as an agriculture teacher so her school’s plan to get day old chicks made me think about incubating some of my own. I then decided to get quail cause they’re smaller and could be more like pets than the chooks we have in the backyard.
I’m also planning on building the enclosure myself and have some rather convoluted aspirations there…
But anyway that’s me and I’m completely captivated by my two little quail who arrived unexpectedly today given they’re due in two more days.
Anyone with advice on these lovely little things is very much appreciated!
Anna
