It's nice to have you here, make yourself at home! If Chloe turns out to be a Cletus, will you be able to keep him?
I think so. She/he is my youngest son's... 9 years old. So, I'm going to try to make it work. If it doesn't, we have a few friends that own farms. Chloe (Cletus) will have a good home either way. But, we have a good relationship with our neighbors, and there's already a rooster about 300 yards down the street from my house. So, folks are used to hearing rooster crows at diff points of the day. I really want to try to make it work for us, as she/he is a beautiful bird with a great temperament. Besides, I'd like to have a rooster in the flock to keep predators at bay and let the ladies free range more. :)

Welcome So glad you joined. Love the names. I'm pulling for Chloe but good to know Cletus would also be welcome. ! Had a Yorkie nick- named buss turd. Real name Buster!
Aren't hens hilarious I love their antics. This is a great place with lots of years of chicken keepers willing to help is newbies.
