What breeds are you planning to get? How many? You'll want to pick smaller breeds with nice big combs for the heat. Mediterranean breeds are a good choice.
Each chicken should have at least 4sq ft coop space, 10sq ft in the run, 1 linear ft of roost, and 1sq ft of ventilation, you'll actually want much more ventilation because of where you are. Also 1 nesting box per 4 hens.
Use 1/2 inch hardware cloth for the run and ventilation and predator proof latches, also have a apron around the run and coop.
Since it gets very hot where you should look into open air coops.
