Hello! Very excited to start this journey now that I'm on a bit of property where it's allowed; however, I'm in the the southwest where it's nice right now, but a bit concerned for the summer where it gets well into triple digits.
So, I'm here to learn as much as possible before I get officially started.
Verbiage, coop style and size for ~12
No chicks yet, but it looks like 24 hens are allowed in this area.

Hi, and welcome. I am excited for you! We have our coop in an area that has a lot of shade and we also utilize a fan. We had a few triple digit days this past summer but that isn't usually the norm. I am sure you will be able to obtain advice from many other members who are dealing with the same climate that you are who will be able to assist you in keeping your flock cool.
