Hi everyone! I've been raising different flocks of chickens for about fifteen years, and forums like BYC have always been very helpful for anything from learning about potential treatments to illnesses to making educated guesses on sexing. We thought our current 8 year old Americana that's still going strong would be our last chicken, but we ended up getting 9(!!) new baby chicks in the last two months! We've got Easter Eggers, Olive Eggers, a Wyandotte, and Silkies. Through an exciting but bittersweet process of trying to figure out the sex of our chicks and discovering that we have a few roos, I hope I've gained enough experience to contribute back to the community and finally upgrade from being a lurker. Thanks for having me!

Gee, I can't tell you how many times I've thought I was done getting new chicks and, like you, clearly wasn't! The more, the merrier, huh?

Your babies are adorable, especially the Silkie, and I'm a fan of your other breeds, all of which are part of the flock here.

Congratulations on becoming a member of this amazing community, and welcome to BYC!
