Hello everyone,
This group looks very interesting with a lot of great info.
My wife and I have been living in the country for 34 plus years and we've raised a few birds during that time and there's a lot to learn . As well we have six children and three grand children. Currently, we have seven layers with 30 meat birds ordered for May 17th.
The layers are in a 4' X 8' insulated, raised coup with two reclaimed windows and they love it. After they lay their morning eggs they get the run of the place.
The meat birds will be tractored about the yard for their 8-9 week stint.

Lot's of Coyotes where we are. They come up real close to the coup too!!!! Lead poisoning anyone....
