Hi all!
My husband and I are new to keeping chickens here in SW VA. We just got our first chicks for our layer flock and are experiencing the learning curve! We bought them from someone local and since she was selling out what she had left before winter we have a range of ages.
According to what she says we have:
12 week Dominque pullets 3
6 week Speckeled Sussex pullets 2
6 week Amberlink pullet 1
5 week Speckled Sussex pullets 2
4 week Speckled Sussex pullets 2
4 week Amberlink pullet 1
and 4 week Guinea Keets 2
(Guineas were something of a last minute purchase to help keep the mites and fleas down as well as defend the flock since we won't have a roo yet. She said the best way to do it is to raise them with the chickens. Hoping I don't regret getting them! hehe)
Our little homestead has it's first chicks!!
