G’Day from down under Jeffrey :frow Welcome!

Sorry, what is a Cavear. I Googled Vantress and found those but couldn't find anything for Cavear? I had not heard of either.

I do hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

If you would like to share pictures and stories of your flock, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out ;)

:welcome:celebrate

Glad you're here Jeffrey!

If you haven't yet, please make your chickens a FIRST AID KIT for any issues that would arise.
It's definitely better to have it and not need it rather than need it and not have it.

Also, make sure your coop(s) have a proper amount of VENTILATION. Your chickens will absolutely thank you for it! :D

Thanks, No need for ventilation they are on range.

Hi Jeffrey!Welcome to the forum from northeastern Missouri! We are all so glad you decided to join us. We are a pretty enthusiastic group of lovable chicken nuts and always glad to have a new face join the insanity! LOL!

Your flock is beautiful. Such healthy looking birds! And I love the use of the palm fronds for run coverage. Great idea! I have to admit that I'm not familiar with the Cavear Chicken. Are they a breed popular in the Philippines? Jungle fowl I'm familiar with but not the Cavear.

See! You just arrived and already we are asking you to educate us!

My flock is mostly bantam mixes, Black Breasted Red Game bantams that I started from an Amish neighbor's flock. He knows they are Old English Games mixed with Cochin, mixed with whatever found it's way to his barnyard. I also have 18 standard sized Buff Orpingtons and Welsummers but I am planning to eventually have only bantams and look forward to adding smaller birds to my flock.

I would enjoy seeing pics of your jungle fowl also.
