Hi all-
I've been following many helpful discussions in this group for some time and thought I should register. We are a family of 4 in Colorado Springs, with a flock of 6 hens (3 Buff Orphingtons, 1 RIR, 1 easter egger, and 1 black star). Got the chickens in spring of 2018, so we are relatively new to this and learning a lot! We are big skiers, both my kids ski race and I coach when I'm not teaching high school science. All our chickens are named after female skiers: Lindsey (Vonn), Mikaela (Shiffrin), Picabo (Street), Tessa (Worley), Tina (Maze), and Frida (Hansdotter).

Hi and welcome. This group has taught me so much about raising birds, but we've only been at it 5 years, so there's so much more to learn. If I have any wuestions, I Google and always find the answers here. Plus there are so many wonderful, helpful and knowledgeable people here. Enjoy your chickens. I have a cousin and his family who live in Colorado Springs. They love it there.

Gotta love me.gif
