Hi, I live in the Austin area and am very new to raising chickens. I had read a number of artivles on the benefits of chicken raising in the urban area and thought we would try it. We just brought home our first flock of 5 1 day old chicks yesterday- Americana. Currently they are living in a brooder in the spare bedroom. Already we enjoy watching their antics. I wanted to know if their is a poultry club in the Austin area. Also I could use some advise on a chicken coop. I like the idea of a mobile coop with run that I can move around the yard. I just need to find one large enough for my new flock that is affordable. Thanks.
