I thought that whole area was gorgeous! I loved the little shops in Cloudcroft. I live in a tiny town myself, we say if it weren't for the oilfield workers we'd have a population of 100. LOL I think we even have one of the last Walmarts before they became super centers.

Yes Cloudcroft is a fun little town! Did you get to see the Historic Lodge or see Sunspot Observatory? Tiny towns are nice, I don't know if I could live in any place bigger than a village though. But it can be a long drive (hours) when you need supplies. We are thinking about retiring in Alamogordo.

Even make NJ look better. All we have is hurricanes.

We just have extreme and unpredictable weather lol. I love it here though, polar vortexes aren't that bad, of course I'm not driving XD, but it was a week off school.

My sister(and older niece) live in Bernilillo - sorry I always spell it wrong, no matter how hard I try. She first lived in Albuquerque and that was much easier to spell.
