You may want to check out this forum, Exhibition, Genetics, & Breeding to the SOP. I am a breeder and my goal is to breed for exhibition. I do show my birds and have placed well with them. Around half of your hatches will be males so you will have to plan on what to do with the extra males. In the past I did some experimental breedings. It was fun.
