Hello everyone, I have just registered as a member. But I have been following and using this site for sometime now for information. What a weath of information.
My Husband and I have 8 children (4 left at home) We bought 20 acres last year to "get back to the country life". I was raised with all kinds of farm animals, he was a city dweller.
Currently we have 9 Herford cattle, 13 sheep, 1 great pyrense guard dog, 4 guinese, about 100 chickens. Can you tell what my favorite farm animal is?
I free range my chickens, they have a 5 1/2 acres "yard" I dont worry to much about purebreed chickens, I like the various colors and personalities. I have gotten most of my chickens are resuces. Many people start off with them and then change their mind. they just seem to keep showing up.
