(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I am VERY new to chickens. This is my first time trying. My chicks were hatched June 22nd. They are coming up on 12 weeks of age! I'm very excited for this endeavor!


(2) How many chickens do you have right now?

Black Australorp


(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
I Googled chicken help sites, and BackYardChickens.com looked to be very friendly and helpful!


(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Gardening and yard care, knitting and crafting, singing and the preforming arts, loving all animals (and acquiring a LOT of them!)


(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I live with my boyfriend of 3 years in our first owned home in North Eastern Ohio! We have two
ferrets, a turtle, two goldfish, a plecostomus, and a large Black Labrador! I manage a salon in our
village. I am a member of a local blues/rock/reggae band in which I sing, play harmonica, piano,
tambourine or whatever fill-ins we need. I also participate in the local community theatre group.
