Is that a coop or an add on to your shed

we are putting our coops about 500 ft from the house, and intend to run a simple heavy gauge extension cord for now, gonna raise the hatchlings in the house in 2 big dog crates for the first few weeks....we are kinda stumped for a long-term solution as well.
 
Just a quick note to thank everyone for the warm welcome, I am thinking it may be nice to add a thread for other people in wheelchairs, with the problems I will deal with and suggested modifications to coop designs....I will try to keep a lot of pictures as we get started into this adventure, I am so grateful I have so many wonderful people to share this adventure with ((((hugs))) all!!

I think that is a FABULOUS idea! There may even be something all ready in place like that. I still think you should do one and share your challenges and your successes as you go along!

Here's to spring coming, and actually staying!!! We get a few days of promise, and right now it is cold, rainy, 39 degrees, and the wind is blowing around making it feel far colder.

Great idea! You would be able to share your unique perspective on coop designs etc. Also, with regard to power, have you thought about solar?? Would it work for you do you think??
 
Solar is possible, we are getting our entire south expanse of roof on the house done in solar panels, maybe add a couple on the coops as well....hmmmm, gonna think about it for a bit......ty for sharing your thoughts....
