Your run is plenty for six chickens, but if you have the chance to make it bigger, it might be a good idea. Then if/when you add more chickens, you won't risk overcrowding. I mention this as there is nobody here that will say their coop or run is too big as if there's room, we'll fill it with chickens. :)

Right, because chick math is no joke! Go wider since the width isn't decided. You can always add temporary fencing down the middle if you want to breed different groups or need a separate space for integrating.
