My kinders last year loved holding the chicks. We learned the correct way and all the chicks became super social. I even had older kids stopping by after school to pet the chicks. We learned also about washing with soap after holding chicks so we didn't spread any ickly chick diseases around. When the chicks went to their new homes; one family kept them in the kids bedroom for quite a while. They did end up losing a couple to hawks and illness, but the rest are healthy and super sweet. It was a great 1st experience so I'm eager to try again this year. Thanks for all the encouragement.
