Hello,

As of yesterday I now have 5 baby checks at home. I am unsure of the breed, I purchased them from the feed store and the most they could tell me was that they were a mix. This is my first time owning chickens and I am extremely excited. I have been wanting them for years but wasn't able to thanks to where I lived. Anyway, just wanted to throw a line in here as I plan to be a member for a very long time :)

Welcome to BYC! You made a great choice in coming here, this is the BEST place for advice and the only place I know that you can express your love of chickens and not be giggled at!!! Post pics of your babies in the 'chicken breeds' section in the forum for help in breeding and sexing your new flock (they will need to be at least 4 weeks to determine sex though) Good luck!
