Hi all. My name is Laura.
We got our first chicks this past April. Yesterday was our first egg -woohoo
It’s nice to have a community to ask questions and share.
Right now the 2 chickens have dropped their eggs in the coop. One on the shelf and other on the coop floor.
Anyone know how long it takes before they lay in the nest boxes?

3 nest boxes for 6 chickens.
It’s a tractor supply chicken coop. If I had to do it over, I would have bought a shed. The boxes seem small to me given the sizes of the chickens. I have 4 RIR and 2 cinnamon queens. 1 of each started laying.

Welcome to BYC!! I suggest encouraging them to lay in the bixes with fake eggs.
