Good afternoon, I am a new member. I have been out of raising chickens for quite some time and just decided to get back in this year. I currently have 18 chickens. Bought them as chicks back in April 2021. I like variety, so I got many different chicks. All were supposed to be hens with the exception of my Bantam (had no idea.. turned out to be a rooster). I have one Easter Egger with a bit of crazy feathers on top (I call her pop top) - not sure of exact breed... that's what she was labeled. I have several Sapphire Gems, 3 plain white hens (store didn't know breed - had pink dots on them), one that had gotten mixed up in the Easter Egger bin, but didn't match them - now identified as a Bielefelder Rooster and my Bantam rooster looks very similar to my big Bielefelder - but tiny - lots of spunk ... Funny thing - the Bantam Mystery Rooster is the Alpha in my coop of full size chickens. LOL
