Had my chickens for aprox. 5 weeks purchased them as 8 week old pullets from 2 different poultry farmers in Victoria, Australia.
my chickens are
2x White Leghorns hens
3x black Australorp hens
1x ISA Brown hen

not having any real issues except very high food consumption, almost gone through 1st 20kg bag of chicken feed
things im looking at improving are the "water feeder", modifying it too automatically refill to full level from water stored in rainwater tank. And possibly get a larger grain/pellet food dispenser as refilling it every couple days is a little annoying.

Hi :welcome

Glad you could join us here! Congrats on getting your chicken adventures started :D
Have you checked out the learning centre? Lots of hood article on watering amd feeding your flock. Here is the link ~https://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/1/Learning_Center
Also if you have a look in the coop section there are waterers and feeders there too. There maybe something there that will help you.

Wishing you the very best of luck and enjoy BYC :frow

You picked some nice egglayers and they will repay you for all that feed soon! If you look through the Feeding & Watering Your Flock forum section, there are some designs and pics, etc of waterers that our members have put together. If you need some ideas. Enjoy the site!

G'day, and welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. You've got a batch of egg laying machines there. You should get loads of large eggs from those girls.) X2 on Yorkshire coop; if you haven't done so already, definitely check out our Learning Center at https://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/1/Learning_Center. There is lots of useful information there. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Cheers.
