New member to BYC

Howdy! I'm originally from AZ and retiring from northern CA. We're moving north Spokane WA in a few months. I took care of chickens as a kid and would like to have a small flock for eggs, meat, and entertainment. I also need more chores for my kids Plan to get started next spring (2018) so I'm taking in as much info as I can before that.

After retiring, I expect to be working on our "new" home, exploring, hiking, skydiving, amateur radio, and doing lots of things with my kids. May want to work part time if it doesn't interfere with the items above!

Good to have you around! This is a great place to learn about getting and caring for chickens. It helped me so much when i was first getting started.

We that retirement sounds exciting! Hiking and exploring is my favorite pasttime. I've always wanted to go skydiving, that sounds fun!

Well, good luck with your new adventure of raising chickens! I would check out many of the wonderful articles in the reading section to jumpstart your learning if you haven't.
