hello I am a new member , I have visited the site for the last few weeks and decided to join the flock I am retired and haven't had chickens since I was a teenager . I built a coop (tractor) for the birds and went to a friend to get a few birds to get started , I have 5 Brahmas 4 hens ,and a rooster they are 18 months to 2 years old they have always been together that's why I took the rooster although it turns out he is very well mannered . I do have some questions I would like help with , I will post them separately

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

Personally, I have found the Topic of the Week articles a great resource and a one stop shop for questions which may have already been discussed within the BYC membership group.

Thank you for sharing some great pics! If you would like to share more pictures and stories of your flock, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out ;)
