You may want to post in detail at "emergencies, diseases, injuries, cures, thread to see what other responders come up with. I am wondering if whatever brought about Pinky's demise may have infected Chickadee as well.

Thanks @gander007 I will look info worming my birds next.

Thank you as well @drumstick diva I did copy my post to the emergency section. I am also starting to wonder if there is a connection to Pinky's passing and Chickadee now being sick.

Quick update: I took Chickadee to a friend last night and she thinks Chickadee has a parasite. She sent me home with some things she uses and I will be going to the feed store today for medicated feed for all the birds. (And I will not eat their eggs for 3 weeks correct)

I have Chickadee in a large box in the house tonight so I can watch her, make sure she is drinking try to get her to eat and able to see how if she is pooping at all, and how it looks.

She looks miserable :( but she's still trying ;)

Ooopps @gander007 I somehow removed the at sign before your name in my last message.

@gander007

Chickadee passed away a few minutes ago :( thanks for thoughts and tips. I'm going to see what I can do to check my other birds and make sure they are all healthy.

I am so sorry

Did you by chance take her body to the vet of save it in the cooler not a freezer so you can have her looked at and find out what was the cause of her demise ???????

Thanks @SummerSaige and @gander007

I did not have her tested but did go speak to someone who knows a lot more than I do (ok, that's funny because I am such a rookie) at my feed store. I sat with him and went through all the details I could and from his questions and my answers it seems my girls from the auction may have come to me with a parasite or picked it up in my yard. Just based on timing it's hard to say. But from the signs and symptoms this seems to be most likely.

I bought the antibiotic to put some in their food and water so all the birds will get treated. After a week of this treatment I can worm them. I didn't realize the birds would get their own calendar around here

On another note...while at the store I picked up 4 babies. I am keeping them inside for awhile before I introduce them to the others. I think I'm getting addicted to these birds

Thank you for the thoughts, prayers and helpful tips and ideas!!!
