Hello my name is ray, I've had chickens for many years but past 2 years I have lost my entire population to disease and predators. This year we started from scratch with a new flock and trying to avoid a rerun of these past years. Prior to losing my flock i have never had issues with any type of disease. I started with 12 chicks this year. 3 each of 4 breeds. Brahma, leghorn, americauna and Plymouth rock. They live in a large free range area in the back yard of my rural home weeith

Did you get testing done with your last flock to know which disease you were dealing with?
Some diseases stay in the soil for years.
