Your chicken neighbors can give you the best advice on coop types for your area. In climates with heat & humidity, some people have a couple open sides( wire instead of wood) and a couple solid sides, so the coop won't be stifling in summer.

I plan on doing my best with the information I can research and be given from the more experienced people here. I really appreciate everyone's help and advice. I have found my state forum (only found 2 people in the Keys though!) and a forum for my breed, Ayam Cemani.
I have very excited to join this community, and hope to post some, or all, of my progress, trials, and opportunities here!
