Hi there,
I have been reading the BYC for a couple of years and love this site so much I decided to join in on the fun. I have had chickens in the past and recently am resetup with 5 mutt chickens and one Polish named Phyllis, who is quite a character. I have one disabled chicken I adopted, Gigi, who has a birth defect in her right hip which causes her to walk with a ‘swing your right leg out’ dance move. She is my sweetie.
We just last week got over our first bout of lice, yuck, and are now all pestilence free. I have OCD cleaning habits with my coop and chickens and recently learning that it makes no difference when it come to lice and mites was a sad lesson but hey, live and learn. I shall continue my OCD cleaning ways and my fight against the little buggers.
I love this forum and am very grateful for all the information that is shared. Thanks so much.
here is a photo of my coop and some of my
girls.
