Hi, I’m Paula and a new chick owner. So glad to be a part of BackYard Chicks.
Grew up with chickens when I was younger, years ago, Lol
I am co-owner with my grandson of some Bantam chicks. These were my grandmothers favorite. We have one that seems to be obsessed with dust baths. These chicks are about 2 1/2 weeks old. Does anyone have a clue as to why only this one is constantly taking a dust bath?

You have a precocious dust bather. After a while the others will mimic her, just like they would their mother. It seems like dust bathing is like nirvana to them.

Thanks so much for your message. I was afraid that she had mites or something. I knew they liked to take dust baths but never as much as this one did! She really had me concerned, the little stinker and she is the smallest in the group too.
