Good Morning, I am semi new to chickens. I have several breeds. I also have some unknowns!!! I have 43 hens and 2 roosters. I will have 50 chicks coming in March. This will be also new to me because, the chicks that I previously purchased a couple of years ago they were quit a bit older than what I will be receiving. I hope it goes well. I am always on pinterest and find great information pinned from this site. So I decided I should become a member. Other animals I have 5 goats who just finished kidding with 8 babies total. I have 4 dogs and a ferret also 3 head of horses. One day I would like to add to my little farm a pig and maybe a milk cow. But as of right now I have plenty to do.

Hi :welcome

Glad you could join the flock! Oh wow you must be very busy with all your animals!! Nice to be busy though with them all. For your unknowns you could pop by the what breed gender section, here is the link ~ https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/15/what-breed-or-gender-is-this
I'm sure members there will be able to help you. Wishing you the very best of luck with your new ones, I'm sure you will enjoy them very much.

Enjoy BYC and all the chicken chat :frow

8 baby goats.... you have to be kidding me! Sorry, couldn't resist a terrible pun. Welcome to BYC! It is great to have you with us. X2 on what Yorkshire said, post up some pics of the unknowns and they will not be unknowns for long around here.

Sounds like you've got a few animals to fill your day.
How wonderful that must be.

Like some other people here, I started with some "unknown"
stock. They were just chickens. That wasn't much fun.

So I gave them all names. There was Bob, Hank...them was
the boys. Then came the girls...Ruth, Emily and such as girly
names.

Then they weren't unknown any more. They were my chicken
buddys.

Enjoy them. Even the ones you don't know.

Spook
