Hi y'all I'm new to forum and raising chickens.. Started with 12 black Australops.. Lost all but 3 but have now built a coop and pin...incubated 14 eggs...9 hatched...lost 2....now trying to figure out how many roo's and pullets....my 3 hens just little over a year...chicks 8 to 9 weeks

Welcome to BYC. At 8-9 weeks we can likely help you identifiy genders on your chicks - take photos of each bird (try to show them in a natural, standing position from the side and also a good comb shot at the least) - label them with letters or numbers to help keep each bird straight and post them here.

Sorry about the losses! Glad you're hatching some more.

There is a rather informative incubation thread here: https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/...-come-hatch-learn-chat-meet-new-friends/0_100

I'm glad you joined us!! As Ol Grey Mare said, we can help you figure out the sex at this age if you post pictures for us. I hope you like it here at BYC!
