Hi everyone. Great to have joined this group. I'm from a place called Three Legged Cross in Dorset UK. I've had chickens for years but am about to start breeding bantams in an incubator. We have decided on Frizzle Pekins and Frizzle Silkies. The one thing we would like advice on is sexing the chicks just after they hatch so we don't end up with too many cockerels. Any ideas please? Thanks

Welcome.

This is a great site. I'm in the North of England.

Do you know that breeding frizzle to frizzle causes "frazzle,?" Frazzles have very fragile feathers and they break off easily - with the bird ending up pretty much featherless. You may want to post that question on the genetics thread.

Welcome!

I hope you enjoy BYC. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun. Unlike non chicken loving friends, family and colleagues, BYC’ers never tire of stories or pictures that feature our feathered and non feathered friends
