Hi I'm Brynne and I have 6 chickens we have red and black sex links and the other 2 are are some random breed. They have been laying eggs for two months I like answering questions for people because a lot of things have happened to our chicks. For example: one of our chicks got let loose and ran and stepped on a sticky pad meant to catch bugs, we eventually got it loose even thought most of its feathers (or whatever is on them as chicks) got ripped off. Now the chick is doing fine and is happily laying eggs

So glad your chick came out of that okay, losing the down (what they have as chicks before growing in feathers) in that manner can be very traumatic for them, fortunately you were able to free her without damaging the delicate skin.
