(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? I live with my sister who has backyard chickens. She named her backyard Ameraucana Acres. Hence - AASister. I help her a lot.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now? Including just hatched babies - about 100 or so.

(3) What breeds do you have? She has some of many breeds: Ameraucanas, Black Astrolorpes, Leghorns, Buff Orpingtons, Rhode Island Reds, Silkies, and others.

(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com? I came across the site while looking for answers.

(5) What are some of your other hobbies? Right now, nothing.

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. I'm an adult, full-time college student. I'm going to graduate this December. My homework load, combined with all the time I spend helping my sister with her chickens, takes all the time I have.

I really enjoy this this website and the forums. I like reading the forums for information, not on just my specific issues, but gaining knowledge on other issues, and celebrating the good and sympathizing with the bad.

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

Personally, I have found the Topic of the Week articles a great resource and a one stop shop for questions which may have already been discussed within the BYC membership group.
