I also hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

I never thought I could be so attached to a chicken, but that one was very special from the start.

Here, we communicate when we are planning to travel across the state. We then transfer birds, eggs or supplies to others along the way. I once accepted rare chicks someone picked up in their area. A few days later, I traveled three hours to deliver them, accepted some fresh straw, then picked up some crates I’d wanted about half an hour further.
I resisted a lot of chicken math!!
We’ve also done some meet-ups. One member might host a bbq, or we meet at a restaurant.
