I found out about back yard chickens when one of my birds got sick and I have been looking at threads that pop up since never thought about joining but my birds have been getting sick or not handling our cold winter very well. The hatchery birds I got this year are not going very well so I will be turning to breeders in the spring.

I too am sorry to hear that your flock may not be coping with winter or something else. I do hope you are able to determine what ails them and that they recover.

I also hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

You might want to also Find Your State Thread and pop in and say hello.

If you would like to share pictures and stories of your flock, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out ;)
