Well Hello everyone,
Just recently found this site and been checking it out for a few weeks and decided to become a member. Lots of interesting and informative stuff on here. I'm enjoying all the pictures of the different coop designs as I am about to build my new one. We are not brand new to raising chickens, my boys showed Market Broilers in 4-H when they were younger and we used to start off with about 150 to 200 each baby chicks each show season. It was a good project for them and they used the money from winning each year to help pay for both of their college degrees. My family raised chickens when I was young and I've always missed the fresh eggs. Anyway , just wanted to say hello.

G’Day from down under TexasEggRancher :frow Welcome!

Eggs? Of what do you speak? :p I have a flock of 5 freeloading bantams who spend more time broody than they do laying! Good thing I love them and eggs if/when they happen are just a bonus.

I do hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.
