Hi, my name is Sandra, and i live in Slaughter Louisiana. i am a retired pharmacy technician. Love my chickens, flowers and crocheting. I have a small flock, which keeps growing. I have the following hens; Austra white, gold laced wyandotte, silver laced wyandotte, Dominique, easter egger, Rhode island red, buff rock, columbian rock, white crested polish/Dominique. soon to add a white leghorn rooster and a black copper maran hen. Was wondering what any of my hens would give me when crossed with the leghorn rooster. Thanks for letting me join in your discussions.

:welcome

It is great having you here!

The cross would get you hybrids that lay more eggs--and have an extra white shell gene. There may also be some brown coating suppression genes so generally the brown eggs will be less brown and the there will be less blue and green eggs because more of the eggs will have white egg shells.

A barnyard mix!
