I have been using the Backyard chicken site for over two years but didn't think I had any knowledge to share at the time. I have learned a lot from posts and the learning center. Read some books, lots of internet sites and finally found a vet who knows chickens and will help them. I mean, not laugh at me for trying to save one of my hens! People don't understand, any animal can become a pet especially when they are in your backyard.
I have three wonderful loving hens all with names and additudes to go with them. They live in Minnesota in a small town. We have two Rhode island reds and one Easteregger. Our neighbors love them too, until they wake them up at 6:30 am telling us about their egg they just layed.:weeLOL. Our hens have a great life and rule our backyard. I am gald spring is here at last. It hss been a long winter.
