Very new to this chicken malarkey, originally just had some hens, then rescued a cockeral as ya do. Now I am stuck in the tack room playing midwife. Now I was just being very quite and recording new chick hatching then the mum started violently pecking and chucking the chick everywhere I couldnt just leave it there! Now I am not sure if mum was trying to get it away from me or not enough room in coup however she is on roughly 16 eggs (she stole other chickens egg) so now, I do not know whether to chance it again or take all chicks away from her, I cant bare to see the chicks hurt, but would rather leave nature to it and mum be mum she has been so commited to the eggs not leaving them at all. I am in such a dielemma arghhhhgh
