I just joined BYC and I'm looking forward to seeing all the DIY projects. I'm not new to raising chickens, turkeys, ducks, and geese, but I have been away for about 20 years. I recently retired and I'm planning to set up a small chicken coop and pen in the back yard with up to around 8 chickens.

I'm happy to be here and planning to visit often.

Nice to meet you :frow

hello @Piefoot ! welcome to BYC :frow
are you going to keep all those different kinds of poultry again, or just one? In any case, I expect you'll find some things have changed a lot and some not at all since you last kept them!
I used to keep several chicken breeds, mostly for meat and eggs. At this point, I just picked up 9 chicks, 3 Rhode Island Reds, 3 Barred Rocks, and 3 Americanas (my wife likes the variety of egg colors). I might also set up for a few turkeys down the road.
