Hi, my name is Stephanie. I got my first 13 hens in November and fell in love. So in February I got 8 more. One of them turned out to be a roo so we are hoping he behaves. The first 13 are laying and last night we put the newbies into the coop with them. Very little squabbling between the new rooster and the older dominant hens. No fighting at all between the hens. They all live in a 2,100 sq ft covered pen with an 8x12 coop with my two ducks. I love reading about other people’s chickens and experiences. Thanks for adding me!

Hello Ssboyd.
Welcome to BYC.
Now we're talking! That is a decent sized run. Plant a few chicken hardy shrubs, chuck in some stumps, a few perches, dig a dust bath area and I might even consider putting a few chickens in there.
