I tiled the floors of the coop and I put pine shavings in it.

As I mentioned, I'm not a carpenter or anything like that but Pics from Pinterest helped me, also YouTube. The trap door idea was from Doug and Ashley of 'Out In The Country'- DIY Homesteading on YouTube. All very informative as much as this site I'm sure will be.

Is that a piece of galvanized corrugated roofing inside the coop? Are those upper corners accessible to the chickens? If they are you might want to consider covering them and the top edge of the sheet with something to prevent the chickens from getting cut on it.

Welcome Eloy. The coop is shaping up well. BYC has a Texas thread that I think you would be very interested in. Many BYCERS there, I would guess you could find some near you that would be glad to advise you if needed.
