That sounds like a great size for 6 birds just make sure you have plenty of ventilation. Here is a good read:

Hi Gary!!! Welcome, welcome!!! I am a newbie too.....I won't be getting chickens until March 2021 because I'm moving in June from Ohio to Connecticut. So I'm here trying to learn as much as I can before I start down that chicken path! This is a wonderful place full of extremely knowledgeable people who are willing to share their knowledge and come alongside and give advice and make suggestions. I've learned so much here!
