Hello everyone. My name is Jen. We just built our chicken coop and bought our first chickens. 2 Dom, 2 Red’s, 1 Buff, 1 Easter Egger, 1 Jersey Giant and 1 mix. It’s been about a week. Everything was fine until one of the Red’s looked sick. We separated her. Her eye was closed and nose was crusty. Someone told us it was upper respiratory. Went down to feed store and got Bannix spray and a powder mix of vitamins and electrolytes. She seems better. It’s been 2 days. Her nose is running. She won’t eat her feed but did it some chicweed. Is there something else we should be doing?

Sorry your girl is sick. Definitely post in our Emergency section. I would also get her under a heat lamp, sick birds are cold and will refuse to eat.
