Hello All! I’m Rob. I’ve had a back yard flock for several years (4) now. Recently had my lil boy Abraham pass and the necropsy showed he had Mareks. I love my birds as I’m sure many of you do, they are my pets and helped me survive my wife’s passing in early 2018, if it weren’t for my birds and my dog, I don’t think I’d be typing this now. I have a flock of 22, all different breeds.

initially when I got the news of Mareks I was shocked, since I have always practiced strong bio security and keep a clean and tidy coop. My birds do free range since I don’t like to keep them confined. I live in So California and we are currently under a quarantine because of VND (Newcastle).

Marek's can be carried in by wild birds.
