Thanks for taking us in as a new member to your forum. We are new to raising backyard chickens. We got 6 on April 10, 2020 and 6 more on June 15, 2020. The first 6 are in the coop we built ourselves, well 5 of the 6. One of the chickens is having a difficulty time walking so we have her separated and trying to help her along. The new 6 are growing and doing great. Our coop is an 8 x 8 with a 25 x 12 run. We hope to have 21 total chickens when all done (I think we will either add 6 in August or wait til next spring). My wife and kids love the chickens, they all have names already and are part of the family. We live in far Western Maryland with about 7 acres of land.
