Hey all! My husband and I just got our first chickens and this forum has been endlessly helpful so far. We have 2 adult red sex links and 3 chicks - a Brahma about 5 weeks old and a black sex link and well summer about 2 weeks old.
Our heat lamp burned out late last night and we are now using a heating pad for growing seeds which they have seemed to really like. The posts here about using heat pads have been super helpful.
I had chickens growing up but this is a lot less and a whole different experience since I'm now the "adult". Not just the kid helping care for them.
In addition to the chickens my husband and I have two dogs - a olde english bulldog and a dachshund/ chihuahua mix! We live in PA and are avid gardeners.
