I have 6 EEs, 6 black Australorps and 5 partridge chanteclers. My neighbour's little dog chased one of my roosters 2 days ago and it hasn't come back yet. There was no contact by the dog so I don't think it's injured. Could it have had a heart attack? Btw, we have coyotes but haven't heard them.

How many roosters do you have ?

Right now I have 5 cockerel and 12 pullets. A mix of EEs, Chants and Australorps. 3 Australorp roos(5 mths) will be in the freezer next weekend.

Good and unbelievable news...my rooster came back! He didn't look any worse for wear but he sure gobbled up on the chick starter. He also lost his status amongst the other roosters, so he either has to work his way back up through the ranks or be content with being chased every now and then.

Oh that's great news!! Glad he is home now.
